Blessingway Photographs

Everyone should do a Mother's blessing or Blessingway. Thank you to my phenomenal sister, Jackie Theis, for creating a very special event for blessing our way into motherhood again. Stacee's beautiful place in Topanga was the perfect backdrop. The sounds of the wind in the trees, the water in the creek and the music put together for the occasion by Marques, could not have been in more harmony. The well wishes from our closest friends and family from afar made these mamas teary eyed and feel so loved and blessed.

We had amazing food and drink to nosh on throughout the time. My sister read a specially written meditation to start us out with. Then we went through the notes and beads sent to us by friends and I was presented with special rocks and crystals from my sister, that I still keep close. One of the crystals was set in such a way that it reminded me of the strength of a warrior and I wore it around my neck during the entire labor. The other beads and notes of strength were at hand so I was able to read them in the beginning of labor as I prepared for the 'hard parts'. After many tear jerking notes were read, we opened up some incredibly thoughtful gifts and concluded with a massage that literally took my aches and pains away for days. The power of touch is not to be underestimated. Thank you to all of the phenomenal women that blessed us that day and from afar. Our love to you all.
